Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average length of stay for patients undergoing rehabilitation?
The average stay at Beth Abraham Health Services (BAHS) is 24 days.
Does Medicare pay entirely for my stay?
Medicare pays for a patient’s stay if they require skilled nursing care, as defined by Medicare. If they do require skilled nursing care, the first 20 days are covered 100% by Medicare. For days 21-100, approximately 80% of the cost of stay is covered by Medicare.
Are private rooms available?
Availability of our private rooms may be based on medical necessity.
Will I be able to receive specialty services at BAHS?
Yes. Our services include audiology, podiatry and dental on-site. If a patient needs to see a specialist outside of these areas, such as cardiology or dermatology, appointments can be made for doctors to come in and see patients at BAHS.
My loved one speaks a language other than English. Will there be someone at the facility who speaks their language?
Yes. We have staff on-site who speak a variety of languages. We also have access to a 24-hour call center with translators who speak numerous languages.
Are there set visiting hours at BAHS?
You are welcome to visit family and friends anytime, but we do ask that you avoid late night and early morning visits, if possible, so as not to disturb other residents.
Does BAHS offer help to patients in completing Medicaid applications?
Yes. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private insurance, and private pay.
What type of therapeutic recreation activities do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of activities including exercise such as Tai Chi and Yoga, entertainment, trips, parties, crafts, games, and discussions on current events.
Can my loved one have access to music therapy services?
Your loved one can be assessed for their need for music therapy and be provided with music therapy services.
